Getting Started

What’s the best way to get started on your path to elite fitness? First and foremost, give us a call at (805) 845-4171 or email us at [email protected] to schedule a free introduction to CrossFit Pacific Coast. The introduction is a free one hour session held every other Saturday morning at 9:30am where you will learn about CrossFit, learn about our particular gym, and get a taste of a workout as well!

Please call the week prior to the Introduction to reserve your spot and check availability and scheduling.

This introduction is a prerequisite for all students before they can begin group classes and/or private training with us and has often been described as “the moment when everything changed”! Its purpose is to help us serve you better by getting to know more about you, your goals and expectations, fitness level, and experience. After your INTRO, you can choose one of several membership options that give you access to our group fitness program and classes.

GETTING STARTED ON YOUR OWN

If you aren’t quite ready to make the jump to training full time  we have a free workout listed everyday right here at www.crossfitpacificcoast.com. These workouts can be done at home, in your gym, in the park or even on the beach and will begin to allow the CrossFit system to shape your workouts and your fitness. The intensity, personal coaching and camaraderie of the group classes will be the last piece of the puzzle in your fitness strategy, but worry not; our door is open whenever you are ready to take your fitness and your life to the next level.

There are also daily workouts and hours upon hours of useful written and multi-media materials listed at: www.crossfit.com.
We recommend that you make the daily WOD from our site or www.crossfit.com your daily workout. Incorporate the elements that you can with the equipment that you have at your disposal, but err on the side of caution with the workouts. Nothing is as valuable as pair of coaching eyes, so if there is a movement that is causing you physical pain, then stop doing it! Take a moment to review the movement online and then return to it. Remember, we are all in the fitness game for life so play hard, but play safe. Feel free to log into the Discussion Forum on our website and post your workouts in the Workout Forum!
