CONGRATS PIER TO PEAK’ERS!

 

A few of the CPC’ers at the top of the mountain! We had a group 13 deep and the hottest cheering/support squad on the mountain!

On Sunday a bunch of your fellow CPC’ers saddled up and ran Pier to Peak. It wasn’t easy, it wasn’t necessarily fun, but we had a ton of support along the sidelines from the CPC support team (best signs ever!) as well as from each other.

Congrats on stepping outside of your comfort zones folks, that was a tough one.

Eric and I have this marked down next year as a big CPC event, we’d like to have a minimum of 25 CPC’ers run it next year!

Today’s Workout:
Skill: Muscle Ups

Adv: 1 x unbroken MU’s after warming up

Workout:
5 – 5 – 5 – 5 – 5
Box Squats

Followed by:
“Goat”
10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1
Burpees
Your Goat

*Your goat is that movement that you kind of suck at and hope doesn’t show up in a workout.

"… ladies, don’t be ginger." What if we don't have a choice? :( AWESOME day, guys! I have to echo the appreciation for the cheering squad, definitely makes a huge difference. Looking forward to doing it again next year with more peeps.

Fact One: You are all badasses. Fact Two: On more than one occasion, I contemplated dropping the posters and just running the course with you guys. A very, very small but tenacious bastion of common sense prevented this (praise the lawd). I specifically chose shoes to wear that would make violations of my decision to not run, a next-to-certain impossibility. Fact Three: I'm obviously in for next year. Fact Four: My interest in activities grows exponentially if matching and/or costumes are involved.

A HUGE THANK YOU to the awesome course support for your relentless enthusiasm and classy signage. You put a smile on my face every time I saw you! And to the runners: some of you I saw and ran with, others I saw at the finish... congrats on conquering the mountain! Hands down the hardest race I've ever done, but also the most satisfying. I have a small feeling I'm going to be dumb enough to sign up for this again next year...why do we like pain so much!?!? We should get LOTS of people to do this, and we can wear adorable matching shirts, or something... so pick a team, Team "Run up The Effing Mountain Like You Own it" or Team Heckle - either way, you'll be a winner :)

Congrats to Kiwi, Shane Wallace, Stacey Gannon (8th place!!!), Stuart, Cody, Baker, Claw, Kristiana, Traver, Augie, J.J., Nicole and Zach. It was awesome seeing so many friendly faces at the starting line and finish. The support staff, as Traver said, was phenomenal. Marcela, Snyder, Faith, Ari, Sarah, Anne Marie, and many others made me chuckle a few times on the way up and that's not an easy thing to do given a runner's condition at that point. Thank you so much for getting up early and getting out there. It's not easy, but if it was it wouldn't be worth doing. Who's in for next year?

You hoofed it to the top of the mountain~ wow. Congrats guys, that is big. Thanks for posting the workouts, Today's looks fun. I will never forget, (and I'm tryin to make sure you don't either) when I fought for 3 muscle ups on my birthday workout a few years ago, and I can not stress to how dynamic and violent of a move it is... ladies, don't be ginger. SLAM your forehead into the space in front of you, fight for it, and show those dudes who flies thru the air best. =) Love you guys
