Lots of people have expressed interest in running Pier to Peak this year, one of SB’s most famous and infamous runs. Whether that’s your end goal or your starting goal, I can’t emphasize highly enough the value of having an experienced set of eyes watching your form.
Ask anyone who deals with orthopedic issues and they’ll tell you that micro stresses, repeated over time, are the root of most injuries. Running is one of the few repetitive motion sports (swimming, cycling, pitching, running, throwing, if golf and bowling were real sports they’d be in here too – same goes for any one besides the pitcher on a baseball team. Just kidding. Kind of.) that has high impact, thus making proper form all the more imperative.
Eric has been relentless in his pursuit of knowledge around natural running form and application and has actually had “science” declare his current running form to be perfect, let alone the drastic changes in the CPC’ers that he’s worked with.
Having form broken down on film is the best way for both the coach and the athlete to diagnose, acquire a visual experience of, and make rapid changes to any movement pattern.
