PAY LEO CHALLENGE. JUNE 1ST.
ByYep, it’s almost that time again. Our resident Paleo scheduler (KJ) stopped into the office yesterday to let us know that the most appropriate time to hold our next Paleo Challenge would be from June 1st to July 2nd. These dates have been chosen using an ancient calendar technique called “letslookawesomeforkjandlisa’scombinedbdaybeachparty”. I know, it’s a mouthful, however, it’s now written in stone.
Gather your lean meats, fruits, veggies, nuts and seeds! Discard your sugary, alcoholly, inflammatory foods and prepare yourself for the healthiest month of your life! The last time that we held a Paleo challenge the results were amazing, amazing enough that a fair number of the participants are still eating in a paleoesque manner today. Who’s planning on doing this with us? (Yes, you have a whole month to prepare and the challenge conveniently ends in time for the 4th of July) Please post to comments if you’re in.

1 Set of Max Handstand Pushups
3 Minutes Rest
In 8 Minutes complete the following:
500 M Row
50 Double Unders
Max Pull ups
(Your score for the workout is the number of pull ups completed)

I feel more prepared for it this time then I was last time but I do have to say this “letslookawesomeforkjandlisascombinedbddaybeachparty” had better be worth it. By that I mean we better be serving a whole cheese cake sandwiched between a pizza.

Been there, done that. But will probably clean up the diet 3-5% (meaning fewer snacks)
Baker – That sounds delicious, but only if served with a beer and chocolate fudge sauce and deep-fried.

I am totally in!!!… BIKINI BODY sound good for a mid July “letslookawesomeforkjandlisascombinedbddaybeachparty”…. I can’t wait!! Last years party was pretty epic, KJ tipsy on bike…. KJ almost running over bride on said bike….ha ha J/K Paleo ….I will master you yet!!!

I watched you all suffer from afar last Pay Leo Challenge … this time, I’M IN!! Hence, Sweet Cheeks HQ is in and will provide you with delicious Paleo recipes and ideas.
We were thinking of having a Paleo challenge at CFLA also. I’ll speak with my partner about having it for the month of June too and then we can ALL be in it together! : )

Migs – Once again you and I are on the same page. I think you could also add caramel, whipped cream, Ben and Jerrys ( flavor to taste ), a cherry and let’s not forget a healthy portion of bacon. Few have survived my version of post-paleo.

Question about today’s WOD/handstand pushups. What’s the “Rx’d” pushup? I assume it’s hands on floor, head to floor. Head to Abmat is probably scaled, correct? How about hands on parallettes, then head to below hands?
Inquiring minds want to know.

For the Claw – Rx today is hands on the floor, head touches the floor. Abmat = scaled.
Using parallettes with your head going below them is pretty damn hard, but will be Rx soon enough. For now, it’s just head to floor. Good job cranking out reps today btw!

Well, looks like I will be feeling so left out during workouts if I don’t join in…so, I’m planning to OWN this Paleo thing with the rest of you monsters! Does anyone have a good resource and/or and good overview of the basics of the diet. Are there any calorie restrictions?
