1 BOX OF FRUITS AND VEGGIES.

By

Shepherd Farm Organic Awesomeness

Many of you had questions as to exactly what 25$ a week would get you as far as the Shepherd Farms organic fruits and vegetables delivery would go.  Jasper came by on Thursday and dropped off a sample box for us and although the contents will be changing week to week, this is what this week’s box had had in it:

-         1 bunch of carrots
-         6 eggs
-         1 bunch of chard
-         1 bag of spinach
-         1 bag of lettuce
-         1 bunch of kale
-         4 avocados
-         2 lemons
-         1 bunch of beats
-         3 artichokes
-         2 baskets of strawberries
-         2 heads of lettuce

Not bad for a week’s worth of food huh?  Probably not bad for two people for that matter.  So far we’ve gotten 3 people to drop off the application and check but we need 12 orders to get this delivered.  If you’re worried that it’s too much food for one week but you’re still interested, let us know and we’ll try to get you teamed up with someone else.  Otherwise, let’s get this started!

 Today’s Workout:
800 M Run
21 Squat Cleans (135#/95#)
800 m Run
15 Squat Cleans
800 M Run
9 Squat Cleans

Count Laura and I in!

2

Did the workout just change?

Those veggies/fruits/eggs look awesome! If we opt in, do we have the option to opt out?

3

The workouts are constantly evolving Lisa!

Shepherd Farms asks for a 3 month minimum for the delivery so we pay for either the quarter or the whole year up front. It’s completely set by them.

4

Count me in! Thanks for the opportunity! Do I pick up the application from you or contact Shepard Farms? Looking forward to new and exciting meal experiences. Kind of like “Chopped” what do I make with these ingredients? Oh okay I do watch some of the cooking shows….

5

To be in, fill out the flier and make a check for $300 payable to Shepard Farms and give both to Traver or Eric. Once they have 12, they’ll give the checks to Shepard Farms and we’ll start. (At least that’s what I’ve done; now I’m just waiting for my veggie bonanza to begin!)

The Claw

The Claw is correct on all counts!

7

I would like to opt “in” but I cook for 1 often, so I will need to split it with someone. I don’t want to waste the food. Anyone down for that?

8

Can we add in more baskets at a later date?? I am down to split a basket with someone…but just spent my extra dough on my plane ticket for my summer trip… Could be ready to start it up by mid May…. Brent I could match up with you….just not until mid-May…let me know!! The basket looks sooooo yummy!!

How did the workout go from Tabata Fun to death by running and squat cleans???…. I have been sitting at my computer for 30 minutes trying to figure out if I looked at the wrong thing but realized Eric is being indecisive or Traver posted the wrong thing…. Eric I officially hate you… first the 5K now this… I know you are trying to prep us for Grace finals but seriously

10

I almost totally forgot about Grace finals…this is just for fun Hogans. Hate’s a pretty strong motivator in my experience. Go get’em!

11

Hogans and Lisa…didn’t you get the message??? The workout is apparently not official until it’s posted on Facebook… ha ha.. and even then they may throw in Burpee makeup mania for a warm up… lol.

The running was by far the best part of this WOD.

at 5:20AM the workout was all situps and handstands. At 6AM … this. Definitely fun though :) Running rocks.

Congrats on the veggie market guys! It’s a rousing success here at PCF. It usually is a lot of food for one person per week and our athletes regularly share with each other. Have fun.

Sarah-
I am down to split in mid-May. Let me know.

I talked to Kate and she said she’s interested in splitting with me, I will double check with her again, but we’re most likely in.
By when do you need to know. And Traver come on get us those crossfit shirts, postponing our ladies night any longer could cause irreversible damage.
