BASELINE WEEK. PART DUEX.

By

Eric with an EPIC 4-inch PR in his seated-long-armed-calculator-extension!

It’s that time again…BASELINE WEEK is upon us!  It’s time for our quarterly progress check to measure just how much awesomer you all are now compared to when you walked in our doors for your Intro.  Starting on Monday, we’re all going to be Baselining our little butts off!  For those of you that might have possibly forgotten what the Baseline is, it is: 1 time through for time of:  500 M Row – 40 Squats – 30 Sit Ups – 20 Push Ups- 10 Pull Ups.

Here’s a really sweet Paleo Recipe care of Sweet Cheeks HQ for those of you that are thinking about doing some cooking this weekend – The Cheek’s Sweet Cheeseless Meetza! (Courtesy of the lovely, well-developed-CrossFit-cheek-having ladies over at SCHQ)

Cheese-less Meatza

1 pound hamburger
1 pound Italian sausage, uncooked and squeezed out of it’s casing
1 teaspoon sea salt (optional)
½ teaspoon pepper
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons oregano
Paleo tomato sauce
1 can tomato paste 1/2 cup water or to desired thickness 1 teaspoon oregano 1 teaspoon garlic powder

 Meatza toppings!!
Preheat the oven to 370 degrees.
Mix the hamburger meat and sausage, salt, pepper, oregano and garlic powder together. Spread the meat out on a cookie sheet or mold into whatever shape desired. Make sure the meat is spread fairly thin, but without holes and round the edges up to make a crust. Cook in oven for 10 minutes.
In the meantime, you have two tasks. One – chop up and sauté your Meatza toppings in a bit of olive oil. Two – Mix together the tomato paste, water, oregano and garlic powder to create a Meatza sauce.
Once the Meatza is done cooking, pour off the grease and immediately cover the meat with the tomato sauce to warm up the sauce. (or you can warm the sauce in a pan first, the other way is just easier!) Add your toppings and have a Meatza party!

Enjoy!

Great job on that PR! It is impressive to see that not even you guys have plateaued and are still making improvements. Keep it up!

Great post… now I am laughing and hungry all at once…. the funny part about that piture is Eric looks so serious….. I give you a 10 for extension, and another 9.5 for style… would have been a 10 if you had that apple in your mouth at the same time. Ha!

Traver’s really helped me “inch” towards my genetic potential. If he wasn’t there to push me, who knows where I’d be today.

KJ- others scoff at people like us until they drop the remote behind the couch. Then who do they call? I’m in for the competition. 3pm behind the bike racks.
