Check this out folks, it’s a video featuring a group of Santa Barbara County Firefighters who supported fellow firefighter Tyler Gilliam during his recent round of chemotherapy at UCLA by running the 94 miles from SB to UCLA.  Yes this will make you cry, watch it anyway.

Today’s Workout:
“Something with deadlifts….but really fun.  can’t remember exactly”
- Text from Malzone when I was trying to post the workout last night.

On another note, CONGRATS TO OUR VERY OWN TRAVER BOEHM. Traver ended up 44th out of a 160 male competitors at the CrossFit Games Sectionals this weekend.

It was a GRUELING 2 days of WOD’s and he battled on every single one of them. He did an oustanding job representing our gym and hopefully inspired a lot of us to compete.

When you see him, make sure to give him a gentle pat on the back and let him know how much we appreciate him representing CPC!!!

“I’d like to be the sort of friend that you have been to me, I’d like to be the help that you’ve been always glad to be; I’d like to mean as much to you each minute of the day, as you have meant old friend of mine, to me along the way.”

This video was great.

You came forth with an amazing effort this weekend Traver. I know those of us who watched you were inspired and couldn’t be prouder of you. I’m happy you accomplished what you set out to do at the start of this.
