This is what they serve for breakfast in heaven.

Whoa!  Thank you to KJ for finding this gem and forwarding it to us care of www.paleomama.com.  We felt that it deserved its very own blog post it was so encapsulating of all things awesome.  What could possibly be even more awesome than deadlifting you ask?  Well frankly, deadlifting, and then going home and double fisting forkfuls of this sweet pile of uber deliciousness into our faces would sure be up there!  Have a recipe that you think can top this one?  Please post it to comments.  (Note - recipes without bacon will be immediately sent to the bottom of the list, per the laws of nature.)

Ingredients:
2 Medium greenish bananas
8 Strips of Bacon

Directions:
Preheat oven to 420 degrees
Peel down one strip of banana.  Cut down the length of the banana with a table knife.  Finish peeling the banana.
Wrap each half of banana with 2 strips of bacon.
Lay 4 wrapped halves of banana on a broiler pan and bake for 20 minutes.
Dipping this concotion in nutbutter is also highly recommended.
Enjoy!

I made these yesterday! Shout out to Jennifer Shoskes for the recipe.

Buy pitted dates, put a few leaves of Thyme and a salted almond inside each one and then wrap them in bacon (you can cut each slice of bacon in 1/2 and use it for 2 dates). Then cook them at about 350 degrees for about 20 minutes. Flip them over halfway through the cooking. So yummy:)

PURE AWESOMENESS w/ an almond surprise!

The paleomama blog has some reallyeasy recipes… I’ve made the chicken saltimbocca and the paleo cottage pie- both are good, and pretty quick. I’m sure you can add bacon in wherever you feel like it :)

Paleomama is great! Sweet Cheeks is often inspired by her! I have a competing recipe, not Paleo but bacon AND nutbutter is involved. And yes, I’ve eaten these for breakfast!! : )

Peanut Butter Bacon Cookies
makes 15 cookies about the size of your palm

1 cup all-natural chunky or smooth peanut butter
1 cup sugar (1/2 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup granulated sugar)
1 egg
1 teaspoon baking soda
about 6 slices of bacon, cooked, cooled and dices

In a skillet over medium high heat, fry up bacon until cooked through and let cool on paper towels until cool enough to dice. Dice up and set aside.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Grease a baking sheet with butter and set aside. In a mixer combine peanut butter and sugars until well combined, about 2 minutes. Add egg and baking soda and mix for another 2 minutes. Fold in cooked bacon. Roll into large walnut sized balls and create a cris-cross pattern with a fork. If you’d like, roll the dough balls in granulated sugar before making the cris-cross pattern. Bake for 10 minutes, until lightly browned. Cool on a baking sheet for five minutes, then transfer to… your mouth.
