GAME TIME IS COMING!!
ByBaker with his 135# pull up attempt!
The last time that we headed down to CrossFit Ventura for their affiliate challenge was awesome! We all got to compete in a friendly, well run event and had the opportunity to meet a great group of fellow CrossFitters. Well, the good folks at CFV have planned another event where the competition will be team oriented! Here’re the details:
Affiliate teams will be made up of 4 athletes (2 men and 2 women) who train at your affiliate. Affiliates can register as many 4-person teams as they want. The day will include three (3) Team WODs (TBA the week prior) that can be scaled if needed. If, after forming your teams, you have 1-3 athletes who would like to compete, but can’t find a 4th member, send me an email with their first and last name and we will put them on a list to form a “Hybrid” team.
The cost for the event is $80 per team up until Saturday, January 2nd. From January 3rd to January 13th the cost is $120 per team. THERE WILL BE NO TEAMS ACCEPTED AFTER JANUARY 13TH. The “team captain” will then need to email us the first and last names of every person on their individual team by Wednesday, January 13th 11:59 p.m PST.
There you have it folks! Start thinking about who you’d like to compete with, this looks like it’s going to be a blast!
Today’s Workout:

You can be on my team Crossley, unless there is a Master’s Division, in which case I’ll play with a bunch of other old people, and everyone will give us polite golf claps just for standing on our own two feet without falling over, and saying, “I hope I’m that fit when I get old, too” in a real condescending and patronizing tone of voice.

“What a bunch of yuppie pussies.”
Priceless.
Jim, I am routinely amazed at your ability to stand erect for long periods of time without toppling over. It’s inspiring
I’d be honored to compete on your team Claw!

Awesome picture (once again) Jeff! Hey Crossley, the same thing is going through EVERYONE’s mind at CFV (about the picking of teams). How ironic:)
Regardless, it will be really fun.

No Nick I got it half way. The one before that was 100# and I did get that one. Traver said the most he’d seen someone his and my size do was 135# so I jumped to that for my last one just to see if I could.
